Jeanes Hospital (7600 Central Avenue) recently unveiled a second, state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology Lab to meet the increasing need for sophisticated cardiovascular care in Northeast Philadelphia.
Equipped with the latest diagnostic tools and technology, the expansive 960-sq. ft. lab establishes full service cardiovascular care at Jeanes--from testing to minimally invasive procedures to surgery.
The new lab offers a full range of cardiac, peripheral vascular and aortic procedures, as well as structural heart disease interventions. A complete range of electrophysiology procedures is also available, including device implantations, ablations and lead extractions.
"This new lab greatly enhances our ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiac conditions, from the simplest to the most complex," said Ted Parris, MD, Medical Director of the new lab. "It helps meet a growing need for sophisticated care right in our patients' back yards."
