TUHS Pharmacy Practice Residency
The Temple University Health System PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program includes 3 hospitals and is tailored to the developmental and career needs of the individual. The partnership of the Health-System and the Temple School of Pharmacy permits opportunities for residents to benefit from the clinical expertise of faculty and offers a structured resource for teaching skills. Residents are trained to provide proficient, direct patient care in both university and community hospital environments including resolution of medication-related problems and practice-related research. Acute Care experiences include Internal Medicine, Cardiology/Heart Failure, and Ventilator Rehabilitation. Critical Care experiences include Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Medical/Respiratory, and Surgery. Ambulatory Care experiences include Internal Medicine, Anticoagulation, Oncology, Pulmonary, and Renal Transplant Clinics. Other experiences include Code/Rapid Response and ACLS Training, Committee Participation, Investigational, Bone Marrow Transplant, Infectious Diseases, Medication Safety, Psychiatry, Management and Teaching.
